a 22 x 50mm black aluminium oxide resin bonded mounted point with a 6mm shank. Ideal for use on high-alloy steels, malleable iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron.

Optimum performance on:
High alloy steels
Malleable iron, spheroidal graphite cast iron

Very good performance on:
soft and non-tempered steels
forged steels and low-alloyed steels
Welds on alloyed and unalloyed steels
Heat and acid resistant steels
Grey cast iron
Tempered steels

Good performance on:
Hardened steel in tool and mould industry

Characteristics:
The characteristics of the various types of cast materials are normally determined by their carbon content, and the way in which the carbon is removed from the material source.
Cast components are generally "rough" machined. The skin contains inclusions of sand from the casting process; large burrs, runners and risers, holes and cracks must all be removed by grinding. These areas to be ground are often somewhat inaccessible.

Manufacturers of cast components i.e. engine blocks, gear box castings, cylinder heads, frames, stands, machine slides, gears, crankshafts, pump and turbine housings and machine tool components.
