Excellently suitable in crafts, in small and medium-size compa-nies and training centres, for repairs and on construction sites.

Suitable for straight, profile, template and bevel cutting in all positions, for piercing, for hole and slot cutting as well as for plasma gouging.

High cutting performance:

Plasma torch with FineFocus-System with Double-Straight-Effect ensures an up to eight times higher cutting speed compared with oxygen cutting (depending on material thickness)
Safe pilot-arc ignition by high-voltage impulses.
Running cutting start and running piercing possible, no reference point necessary!
Automatic power increase of the pilot arc at workpiece contact.
Soft start circuit at cutting start and piercing increases the life time of nozzles and cathodes.
Excellent cutting quality.
Small kerfes, low material loss, low pollution development.

Low operating costs with water-cooled plasma torches:

Increasing of life time of consumables by direct and effective cooling of plasma torches (Life time of nozzles and cathodes up to 6 times higher!) and no wear of torch bodies
Soft start circuit at cutting start and piercing increases the life time of nozzles and cathodes additionally.
Reducing of air consumption by ca. 80 % compared with air-cooled plasma torches

High labour safety:

High labour safety by shock-proof with safety shut-down at cutting with hand torch.
Control of the plasma gas and the thermal load of the plasma cutting system.

Distance bow and distance cap for constant distance between nozzle and work

Plasma cutting and plasma gouging - two technologies with only one machine
Plasma gouging for preparation of welding seams, crack and inclusion removal, cast iron cleaning, surface removal and more.
The Kjellberg plasma torches can be reset from the version for plasma cutting to the application for plasma gouging and vice versa in a few seconds.
There need to be replaced nozzle and protection cap only.
With this concept a high availability of the system is guaranteed.

Compared to gouging with carbon electrodes, a host of technological advantages result, i.e.:

no heat effected zone of the material.
no grinding.
lower heat penetration and therefore lower warpage.
good observation of the process performance.
noise level and smoke accumulation reduction.

Mild steels are favourably treated with air as plasma gas. For high alloyed steels and aluminium are Ar/H2/N2/ mixtures to prefer and therefore an other Kjellberg plasma cutting machine.
