Neocol B when used in conjunction with Neopaint NPT 16 and a suitable electromagnet, is capable of finding surface breaking cracks in components, welds and structures. Components parts and structures must be capable of supporting a magnetic field with a ferrous content. (If they are not e.g. aluminium or stainless etc.

Testing is simple to learn and the system is proven with European Standards being applied to both product and associated theory. Neocol B is a hydrocarbon based Black Magnetic ink (pale grey when shaken and applied) The micron sized particles are drawn to a leakage magnetic field which occurs above a crack when the area being inspected is magnetised. There is a build up of particles above the crack and the particles agglomerate. In this way invisible surface defect become visible.

There is 400mls per Aerosol (this will test about 15 to 20m of welds) The product is best used with Neopaint NPT 16. This provide a white contrast to enable the location of even the finest of cracks. Neocol B is certified low in Sulphur and Halogens and conforms to the latest European standards.
